Abstract:
The characteristics of the discontinuity between bedrock and loose deposits(namely bedrock-cover discontinuity) in the slope structure always make an important role on the slope’s stability.Moreover,it is also the important basis with regard to the slope stability analysis and design of the landslide countermeasure solutions.According to the problem of the bedrock-cover discontinuity of the famous No.102 landslide group section of Sichuan-Tibet highway,the paper,based on the characteristics of the glacial geomorphology and the groundwater seepage zone in the backwall of the 2# landslide and a few of geophysical and borehole materials,puts forward a new location of the discontinuity,i.e.,the discontinuity is located at average altitude of(2?325) meters,but not(2?120) meters near the Parlung River valley,which was determined by previous researchers.The new cognition is of great important significance to the selection of engineering countermeasure solutions in the 2# landslide.In the paper,the solution of tunnel is recommended.
