Abstract: The problem of seasonal drinking water shortage of man-livestock has not been solved in southwest red-strata areas of China.By geological survey and study authors summarize a series of natural orders on red-strata in Sichuan and Chongqing,such as shallow groundwater wide distribution,shallow burying,enough recharge and fast refresh and so on.At the same time,water-use charateristics are separated residence and low water requirement in these areas.So put forward theory on the resources of shallow groundwater in the red-strata,and its exploit techniques on minor-caliber shallow wells,and water-supply model on one-household using one-well.
