Abstract: Having elaborated the basic principle and methodology of induced polarization,this paper demonstrated several practical skills in water-bearing stratum exploration in the Taishan group metamorphic rock with applying induced polarization parameters including the decline degree,the half-decline time,the charging rate and so forth,for instance,to identify the boundary of water-bearing stratum,to determinate the depth of burying stratum,to describe the abnormal distribution of stratum induced ore body intrusion,etc.It was suggested that induced polarization method was slightly affected by the topographic,while production curve could straight reflect abnormal distribution of water-bearing stratum and became easy to interpret observed phenomena.
