Abstract:
Analyzing the vulnerability of occurrence of landslides with quantitative methods is significant to examine the disaster-pregnant background and the laws of development of landslides, which can provide quantitative gist for susceptibility zonation, hazard evaluation and risk assessment. This paper uses the “cumulative and fractal theory” to analyze the vulnerability of landslides based on ArcGIS technology. The cumulative and fractal values of each disaster-induced factors and the vulnerability of the occurrence of landslides for each disaster-induced factors are obtained through calculating and analyzing. Mapping susceptibility zonation of Nanjiang County based on the vulnerability of landslides for each disaster-induced factors is carried out and its susceptibility level is classified as extremely high susceptibility region, high susceptibility region, middle susceptibility region, low susceptibility region and extremely low susceptibility region.
