Abstract
In combination with the pile-sinking construction of the experimental section of the nodular pile composite foundation at the Dongqian Lake depot of Line 4 of the Ningbo rail transit line, an excess pore water pressure test was conducted and the influence of nodular inter-joint voids on the vertical pore water pressure was considered. The theory of calculating the discretization of the vertical distribution of excess pore pressure caused by nodular pile sinking was deduced. The established theory was used to calculate the 2 m pile spacing test conditions, and the calculation results were compared with the test results. The calculated results were in good agreement with the measured results. Considering the vertical excess static pore pressure calculation theory influenced by the nodular joints, nodular can be better described. The excess pore water pressure caused by the construction of piles can provide design and construction parameters for the pile foundation.
