Geochemistry of shallow groundwater on east of Fujian province

  • This paper describes the characteristics of ion contents, relativity, distribution of 19 elements in 1 206 shallow groundwater samples in the east of Fujian Province within 38 000km~2 . The relationships between hydrochemistry and geologic background is also examined. It is found that Ba, Cl~-, F~-, Fe, Mn, Sr, and Zn contents are high with a alrge range of vcalue. All the elements have no correlation with pH, while there is clear positive correlation among Cl~-、Sr、Co、Ni、Pb. Cl~-plays a decisive part on the elemental relationship. The distribution of elements is controlled by the geologic background and geographic condition.
