Transportation model of contaminant with the consideration of consolidation of layered elastic foundation

In this paper a one-dimensional mathematical model on the contaminant transportation in layered elastic foundation has been established on the basis of the consolidation theory of layered elastic foundation and the transportation theory.The main feature of the model is the consideration of the effect of soil deformation under loads on contaminant transportation.The analytical solution of the model is also given.The simulation of the model is finally compared with the results measured in a disposal sites for the contaminated dredged sediments from the Taihu Lake.The results show that the ground soil of the disposal site has enough obstruction ability,and will not bring secondary pollution in the fixed number of years.Since the layered soil is abundant in the factual impermeable layer,the transport model of contaminant in the layered soil is of important engineering value and factual significance.
