Evolution of the sedimentary environment in the Qaidam Basin over the Quaternary Period

Information indicating environment evolution is recorded in the Quaternary sediments in the Qaidam Basin because of its thick layer and fast deposition.Based on some former researches,a substitute proxiesn,chroma,on a deposition at the ZK2 borehole in the Charhan region of the Qaidam Basin is selected.High resolution in the paleoclimate evolution is revealed.Mathematic statistics and time series are used and characteristic values from the curve of chroma(L,a,b)change is found and different intervals in the chroma curve are measured.
