A constitutive model of Shanghai soft clay based on SMP criterion

Based on the tests’ results of true tri-axial apparatus,the shape function of yield locus on-plane is presented,which is based on the SMP criterion.The shape function is verified through experiments.A yield function based on SMP criterion is also presented.A theoretical compare is made among the new yield function,the Cambridge model and the Ohta-Sekiguchi model.The new yield function is proved to be better to reflect the space shape of the yield plane.
