Geological safety evaluation for Wenchuan earthquake severe hit area in Sichuan Province

Geological tectonics,faults and geohazards are active in Wenchuan earthquake hit area.Geology is of much importance in reconstruction process.12 counties which were seriously destroyed by Wenchuan earthquake are taker as the research areas to carry out geological safety evaluation.Firstly,flood,25°slop,active geological fault,slop stability and geoharzads are selected as indexes to divide suitable or un-suitable areas for construction;Secondly,select the suitable area to carry on geological safety evaluation,the areas are divided into better,medium and worse for reconstruction zonation.
