Application of cross-hole seismic computerized tomography technology to karst caves survey

Abstract
The cross-well seismic computerized tomography technology and its operation method are introduced in this paper.The application of this technology to a factual cavern survey engineering is presented.The data obtained from the site are interpreted combined the data with an inversion method for seismic computerized tomography.Plan and section plans of karst cave distribution are obtained.Comparison is carried out between the result of the cross-section electromagnetic topography technique and the data from the borehole.The results show that the seismic computerized tomography technology have the advantages of higher precision and credibility,and three dimension space distribution of karst cave can be obtained by the inversion analysis.The method can be used to provide detailed geological data for engineering design.
