Compaction properties of oil contaminated soil

Influence of oil contamination on compaction properties of soil is analyzed in this paper. Standard compaction tests on loamclay with single liquid medium such as crude oil,diesel,water and oil-water mix medium are performed. When petroleum replaces water as hole fluid,the compaction curves have no obvious peak value,and its dry density increases slightly along with the increasing of oil content,even it’s far less than the maximum dry density of soil without oil pollution.
