Adsorption ability of geosynthetic clay liner to cations and organics in landfill leachate

The adsorption ability of geosynthetic clay liner(GCL) and its variation were explored through test and analysis of chemical compositions in the landfill leachate before and after permeation.The results were demonstrated by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry analysis.It was found that GCL’s adsorption to most of cations and organics occurred during the permeation process of landfill leachate through GCL.The difference of hydration liquid had some influences on the adsorption ability of GCLs.Test re...
