    Engineering geological structure establishment and conditions assessment integrating land and sea in Shanghai coastal area

    • The new Shanghai city general plan presents that Shanghai should develop the ocean, and puts forward the demand for the geology work. Based on analyzing a large amount of engineering geological drills information in Shanghai coastal area, and also combined the study result of Quaternary, this paper establishes the engineering geological structure integrating land and sea, and divides 10 engineering geological layers and 19 sub-layers. And through the study, this paper points out that dredger fill, soft soil, and liquefaction sand soil are the main special soils in Shanghai coastal area. According to analyze the geological conditions, this paper draws a conclusion that generally, the engineering geological conditions are complicated, and carries out engineering geological conditions division, which can provide the basic information for project construction.
